We are back and alive! We had the best time! I haven't walked that much in so LoooOOOOoong! LOL!!!! Overall the trip was superb! We definately had a few hangups - lost luggage, missed flights, cab rides that took 2 hours instead of 12 mins, etc - but it didn't overshadow the Magic of being in Disneyland and kicking off our Holiday Season as a family.
The kids were such troopers and so good the entire trip! I just about cried when my daughter got to meet Cinderella and she took the time to talk with her for a few minutes. The bet the women who play those princessess have cheeks that hurt by the end of the day! That is ALOT of smiling for them! ha ha!
I also surprised the kiddos with "custom" outfits made just for them to wear to Disneyland our first day there. The best compliment I received that day other than the HUGE smiles on their faces and the all the hugs and kisses when they saw the outfits, was the endless compliments/questions from people asking me what store in Disneyland I had purchased their jeans at. (insert BIG smile on my face here). The kids got alot of attention that day.

Refill anyone???? - DISCOUNT CODE
After a few customer requests for more DIY fabric kits because they love my eye for putting combinations together and/or don't have access to a fabric shop nearby at all, I thought this might be a good solution and way of saying thanks for your repeat business. I've just listed some Halloween kits too! Just in time to snatch them up for a party, costume or a gift.

Have your cake and eat it too........and then have some more and more and MORE!
We have a couple of "cluster" birthday months in my family - August being one of them where there are several birthdays and several parties to attend. The August birthdays all happen to fall at the end of the month so within a week we attended 3 family birthday parties. Would have been 4 BUT my sister chose not to have a family get together this year. PLUS add in a birthday party for my daughter friend and that's ALOT of cake, ice cream, party favors and FUN for 1 week! LOL
Don't get me wrong it was great to "party" that much in one week especially because 2 of the family birthdays being celebrated were the BIG 1st birthday! I just love those! We attended Miss J's outdoor party in the gorgeous setting of the mountains, sunset, horses in the pasture and the quiet that surrounding brings. Just the getaway I needed for a few hours. She was a doll too and plunged right into her cake giving everyone GREAT "messy" cake pictures.

I was also able to snap a few pictures
from the surrounding area even making my husband drive back by an old barn just so I could photograph it. I would have liked to have gotten some closer shots of the barn but I was too afraid of a neighbor or someone coming out to tell me I couldn't do that. *snicker* Anyone have simliar experiences? Where it should be OK to do something but you're afraid it's not and that you'll get in trouble???? LOL
Then we were off to Miss K's 1st birthday Party just a few short days later for more fun!
Both of the new 1 year old girls got their own custom creation suited for their personality from me for their birthday. It was fun to create a surprise for them and without being given a theme to do. My sweet daughter helped pick out the fabrics and even cut some of the pieces. She also wanted to have a say in how the fabrics got laid out as well. It was fun to create them with her. Each got a pair of Shaggy Mosaic jeans and a matching Shaggy Initial tee. Miss J's was very wild and funky and Miss K's was very Paris Ooh La la girly.
All in all my family had our fill of birthday cake for awhile. But it's fun to celebrate with family and get together for those milestones - don't you think?

Here's the Skinny....
Skinny Scarves that is! Debuting today are my new accessories for Fall! Want to add some color or something different to your everday wear? A Skinny scarf is the answer! Casual yet stylish ~ colorful but not flashy ~ comfy?.....oh yes. It can be worn so many different ways. Wrap it, twist it, drape it, or layer it with your jacket! Made with the rich colors from the Manzanita line by Joel Dewberry and one of 4 new items I designed for the "Indelible" Launch. Yes the launch is today! I've added a fun detail to the scarf as well so be sure to check out the auction to see what that is!
Also newly listed today for the launch is 2 pairs of Mosaic jeans ~ One for WOMEN and one for GIRLS. Now's a perfect time to snatch up a matching pair for Mom and daughter!
A beautiful mix of Pinks, Browns and Greens with fabrics from Joel Dewberry, Amy Butler, Moda and more! Perfect for the upcoming fall season. I even added a bit of leopard print to really set them apart!
And last but not least I teamed up with my littlest sister to create a matching purse! She has had fun making some for herself so I enlisted her to be my seamstress. The purse has been created in a "Mosaic Stripwork" style. What else would you expect from me? LOL!!! Alittle bling, a bold pattern on the back and loads of style and fun! This purse is a OOAK ~ One of a Kind so don't miss it!
I also had the opportunity to work with Erin of the_vintage_pearl on some matching jewerly for this launch. She created 2 beautiful pieces to match the manzanita fabrics and the aviary fabrics. Check out her items as well!

Outakes HSM style!
Some of the "fun" of doing a photo shoot is the funny things the model will do. *snicker* And most of the time to keep the shoot running smoothly you just go with it! Miss M likes to do certain "poses" she thinks fits the with the theme of the outfit and also ones she thinks are like grown up models would do. It's funny to think what is going on in her cute little head! But I just keep snapping and give a little direction here and there. I can't fake that I took the picture when she does a pose that I don't like and know I won't use because she knows! No camera click sound plus sometimes she likes to "SEE" the picture and well................if I faked taking it then I get caught when I can't replay it back for her! oops! So I've learned to just snap away - delete later (wink)
With my High School Musical Jeans ending TODAY I thought I would share some of the funny outakes from our recent shoot. Here's just a "few" *sigh*. It's amazing how many pictures I can take and only really LOVE and want to use a handful. Maybe I just need more practice! (wink)

So many fun shapes, colors, patterns, images and sayings from the movie make up these mosaic jeans. Snatch up a pair while they are available. On another exciting note I am debuting a product that has been in the works for the last 4 months - my DIY kits! My website will soon be getting a makeover and my own store added. It will be so easy to click and shop right from my website. BUT until it gets all designed and set up I have opened up shop on etsy.com. I have stocked it with a few aprons and my DIY kits. Now you can make your own pair with pre-cut fabrics and fun themes! There will be more themed kits to come over the next few weeks and of course more outfits for my wonderful boutique customers. Enjoy shopping around!

So I heading to NATURE for the week! *sigh* I can smell the fresh air and taste the smores already! I'll be helping out as a leader at a youth girls camp. No sleep, pranks, hiking, canoeing, chatting about boys - what could be better! LOL! I am excited to go but have million things to get done! And while I'm away I thought it would be fun to let all of you PLAY!
I'm doing a giveaway and moving out some inventory to make space for more projects. teeheehee. A couple of tops that I couldn't sell so hopefully I can give them away! If they are the right size for you for someone in your family then snatch at the chance to get one for free!
Heading to disneyland? I have a size 4 Minnie Halter top ready to see the Magical Kingdom with you! and I also have something for the women! A size XL dark blue Mosaic top designed with Amy Butler's Lotus fabric. Great for now and great for fall as well!
I have a chance to win one of these great tops just post a comment! I'd love to hear how you play with the "mouse" is away! I'll share one of my things first. Usually when my husband is gone, I for some reason, get in the re-decorating mode! LET'S go shopping!!! I like to find something new or fun, rearrange furniture, etc. Not sure why but the urge usually strikes me everytime. Another way I "play" is there isn't alot of cooking going on when my hubby is gone. I like to take the kids out for dinner or we'll hit grandmas too on occasion. YOUR TURN! how do you play?
